About the role

Imagine being at the heart of policy development, where your research directly influences decision-making at the highest levels. As a Senior Research Officer with our partner, you'll have the exciting opportunity to shape the future of your state through in-depth analysis and expert insights. 

In this role, you'll: 

  • Provide outstanding research services to members of parliament, their staff, committees, and other stakeholders 
  • Contribute as a senior member of the parliamentary research service and offer leadership within the team 
  • Bring your superior knowledge and expertise to one or more key subject areas relevant to our partner 
  • Work independently while fostering collaboration and innovation within your team 
  • Develop expertise in specific areas while also exploring a wide variety of subjects 

Your talents and expertise will be put to great use as you: 

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on diverse policy areas 
  • Craft clear, concise, and impactful reports and briefings 
  • Lead and support junior staff in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and emerging issues

  • Expertise in one or more subject areas relevant to our partner
