Head of Tailored Lending

About the role

Our partner is reimagining home loans and showing Australia there's a lender on their side. They've helped thousands of Australians as they continue to rewrite the rules of residential-backed lending. Now, they're expanding their lending activities to individuals and non-individuals and venturing into business lending that is residentially or commercially backed for trading entities. 

This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the tailored team and play a key leadership role in shaping the tailored lending agenda with our partner. As the Head of Tailored Lending, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, guiding a team set to grow rapidly. 

Who are we looking for? 

• A seasoned professional with 8-10 years of residential credit assessment experience, particularly in assessing self-employed applications and leading assessment teams 
• Experience in assessing complex loans, including commercial, trust, and company loans, with the ability to read and understand company and trust financials 
• Current holder of a Delegated Lending Authority 
• Confidence in communicating with customers and brokers to deliver decision outcomes 
• Strong connections with several broker networks 
• Ability to work within policy and make recommendations for improvement 
• Experience managing a pipeline of assessment applications 
• Proven track record in a fast-paced environment 
• Self-motivated individual driven to exceed targets and strive for excellence 
• Skilled in building teams and recruiting the right people 

Your role will involve: 

• Delivering and overseeing an end-to-end service for consumers, from initial application assessment to fulfillment 
• Communicating with customers and brokers to workshop applications and provide decision outcomes 
• Assessing self-employed applications and applications to non-individual entities 
• Managing a pipeline of applications, ensuring a seamless journey for customers and brokers 
• Maintaining all risk and compliance standards 
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to team performance 
• Acting as a leader in the company, bringing positivity, energy, and flexibility to help create a great culture 
• Liaising professionally with clients and brokers, providing regular updates on application progress 
• Working autonomously with strong attention to detail and data entry skills
